MRS. MIRIAM OGINGA

Dear Mrs. Oginga,

Sweet memories are made of:

{Messenger (shouting)}: T-h-o-o-o-s-e w-h-o c-h-o-o-o-s-e b-e-a-a-n-s!

{Voices without seeing actual people (shouting back)}: Y-e-e-e-e-s!

{Messenger (shouting)}: Y-o-u-u are being c-a-a-l-l-e-d!

{Voices without seeing actual people (shouting back)}: By w-h-o-o-o?

{Messenger (shouting)}: By Mrs. O-gi-i-i-n-g-a-a-a-a-a-a-a-a!

{Commotion…the whole school abandons everything and runs towards Mrs. Oginga’s house…obviously to eat ‘afuoka’ because
they “chose beans”…hey! even those who never “chose beans” still got a share without discrimination}

St. Bernadette Girls’ Primary Boarding School Old Girls are here to thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Thanks a lot for teaching us that a mother’s love has no boundaries…all the children in her neighborhood are hers by default!

You taught us kindness, hard-work…while your loving husband ‘Japuonj’ Oginga Awino (RIP – Sorely Missed!) worked on the discipline part… 🙂

This far we have reached because you both saw the potential in us-your little children. Even though our real parents were far away, you made us feel like we were real family to you. The memories you created will surely last a life time.

We appreciate you for loving and nurturing us…May God richly bless you. May long life, good health and prosperity be your portion in Jesus’ Name!

Min ji, we love you beyond words!

Sending you lots of love and hugs from wherever we are all over the world…
